Custom artwork orders - How it works.

Custom artwork orders - How it works.

If you can't find what you're looking for in our shop you can always contact us to ask about a custom order, you can also use the chat feature to message us (bottom right), if we're near the computer we'll reply right away!

This post is designed to give you a bit more information regarding custom orders, how to get them started, what you can expect and what is possible.

We're always adding to our line up of products, and we're always happy to add new designs based on customer requests.

We can fulfill most requests, but if we can't we'll let you know right from the start of the process.

We usually ask for a $9.95 deposit before starting new artwork and this is refunded via a discount code when you purchase the finished artwork. Unless the order is for a very unique design which will be a complete one-of-a-kind or highly detailed with many layers or oversized you can expect the price to be in line with other designs we currently have in the shop - just to give you an approximate price.

For example if you're the first to request a new aircraft type or model of car, we don't charge extra just because you're the first, we just ask for a deposit before starting on drawing up the new artwork!

In some cases you may see a design we currently have in the shop but would just like it to be modified slightly, again this is something we do regularly. If the requested modification is simple enough we might be able to do it for free! We have upgrade options starting at just $4.95 - for example for additional personalized printed text on a design. For a simple custom paint scheme to be engraved onto one of our aircraft designs we would normally charge $14.95 (we would also require good quality photographs to work from).

Once the deposit is received we'll start work on the new artwork. Depending on how busy we are and how many other designs we're working on, it may take between 3-10 working days to draw up the new artwork, cut it, assemble, photograph and add the new listing. We'll usually be able to give you a fairly accurate estimate of the turn around time for new designs when you order.

Once the new artwork is completed and the listing added into the shop we'll email you back to let you know it's ready. Included in the email will be a discount code which you can use at checkout to get a deduction in the final price of your order to refund the cost of the deposit already paid.

I hope this post gave you a little more info on what to expect regarding custom orders with Simply Cut Art. But if you have any other questions, or if you'd like us to get started on a new design for you please email us with your request!
