The aerodynamic Jaguar D-Type was designed specifically to win the Le Mans 24-hour race. The car was manufactured between 1954 and 1957. The D-Type featured innovative monocoque construction and aerodynamic efficiency integrated aviation technology in a sports racing car, some examples also featured a large vertical stabilizer.
