FAQs
How much does shipping cost?
Standard (non-tracked) shipping to anywhere in the world is absolutely free!
Tracked shipping prices are based on the total weight of your ordered item(s) and delivery location. Your exact shipping cost will be calculated during checkout and before you are required to pay. If you would like to place a large bulk order please contact us as we may be able to significantly reduce your shipping cost.
What happens if my order is lost or damaged during shipping?
It's rare, but items do go missing in the mail. It's not your fault, it's not ours either! However if your item fails to arrive we will send out an identical replacement free of charge. We generally first ask that you wait a little longer to see if the item arrives later than expected. If the item is damaged during shipping we usually ask for a photo to prove the damage to the item before sending out an identical replacement free of charge.
What is the wood you use for your designs?
Unless otherwise stated the wood is 3mm composite wood. We chose this as it cuts and engraves well. The lack of any strong grain in the wood means any engraved details stand out. We coat the wood with three thin layers of water-based varnish to give the wood an extra layer of protection. We try to use the same color and tone of wood as much as possible to keep all our items looking uniform. Depending on the wood in stock, the designs may be slightly lighter or darker than the listing images.
Where do you get the maps from?
The maps are created using data from OpenStreetMap.org and used under a Creative Commons license.
Can I buy in bulk?
Yes you can. Please contact us first if you require a larger order and provide details of your requirements.
Do your items come framed?
Sorry, no. All our items come unframed, but ready to come straight out of their packet and slotted into your chosen frame. If you like the frames used in our sample images you can purchase them yourself at any IKEA store near you (they are the RIBBA frames!). We also have a framing guide here to help, it's very easy!
