This design features a combination of 1/8" (3mm) laser cut wood, a printed plaque with photos and specifications and printed and annotated backing to show the design and interior layout of the Bathyscaphe Trieste.



The Trieste was a Swiss-designed, Italian-built deep-diving research submarine. On January 23, 1960 it dived to a record maximum depth of about 10,911 metres (35,797 ft), in the deepest known part of the Earth's oceans, the Challenger Deep, in the Mariana Trench near Guam in the Pacific.

A raised tag mounted underneath the blueprint features the submarine's specifications and photos of both the interior and exterior of the sub. This laser cut submarine blueprint makes for interesting and unusual nautical decor, either given as a gift or for yourself!

This submarine blueprint artwork does not include the frame.
